anyways i really love N's backstory but i also really love the idea of ultra wormholes/parallel universes so!! champion!YJH of the uh... fuck it let's call it Murim region which is hella industrial, sorta like unova with some areas more like sinnoh. he's handsome af and stupid over the top powerful and took the league by storm a decade or so ago and no one really knows where he came from (he has a PR person who keeps his little sister Mia out from the limelight that isn't her's as she's a rising star of the pokemon contest circult, where she has a friendly rivalry with the mysteirous shin yoosung who seems to have two very different personalities / teams) he wasn't quite poke-raised but he lived in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, his parents were neglefctul and the local pokemon population pretty much raised him in all the ways that matter. he's chosen and he does his best to help even though his resting bitch face makes people think he doesn't wanna do it enter the msyterious trainer KDJ who suddenly appears on the circuit, beating gym leaders left and right and making friends... and avoids the fuck out of YJH even though they keep meeting up whenever save the world shit happens. he's followed by shin yoosung but YJH is very confsued becaues... sometimes these save the world events happen when there's also a contest and he knows yoosung was there too because even when he can't be there, he always watches Mia's performanes (preverabbly while it's being livestreamed but will take recording after the fact if he really can't get to his rotomdex for it) KDJ (and biyoo who's altverse!shin yoosung) are actually from Underworld, a regiont hat exists in this weird parallel universe not dissimilar to the distortion world (or hell maybe hades is in there). and they came to the main!verse to track down a criminal (wenny king? dokkaebi king? idk. hell maybe SP) who traversed into the other wrold first
they were found by main!Shin Yoosung who rolls with it and lieks switching places with Biyoo lmao
KDJ team maybe: Zoroark, Ditto, Mimikyu, Mawile, Stunfisk (Galarian), Mew
Tentative YJH team: Dewgong, Ho-Oh, Dialga, Keldeo, Stunfisk, Mewtwo
lowkey thinking KDJ actually was a feral pokeraised child because his mother abandoned him in the wild after killing his father. it wasn't intentioanl but she had no one and knowing she would be caught, she wanted her kid to have a chance without her. he eventually gets adopted by the king and queen of underworld. so prince!KDJ tracking a ruthless villain through dimensions with his daugther Biyoo who refuses to let him go alone. maybe KDJ was originally from main!verse but when he was in the wild he fell into a dimension crack that works

YJH and KDJ wondertrade, which is how YJH gets bastard the stunfisk and KDJ gets a shiny tentacruel named Secretive Plotter. SP was not supposed to be traded.
YJH tracks KDJ down to ask for a trade back but SP does not want to leave KDJ at all.
