Somehow the Shounen Tantei are dragged along into going to a special ice skating camp thing hosted by the JSF which somehow includes a lot of really epic, world class skaters because Minami and Katsuki have connections.
for some reason, the BO are there. Conan and Ai are obviously concerned, but it seems like Gin is a huge fan of ice skating???
Originally I had it in my head that Minami was from Osaka so he and Hattori would be classmates??? Kanagawa is kinda far though rip. Maybe penpals from middle school or something for that relationship.
It’s very obvious where the crack is in this, but I keep imagining a scene where Gin is just… watching Conan skate and he’s good at it… and then he prompty calls Bourbon and is like “work out a few murders at local ice skating rinks, and see if you can have Mouri bring his brat. Try to encourage him to give up soccer.” and Amuro just staring at his phone going wtf

Kouichi gets a scholarship to SFIT and meets Hiro (they’re the same age but Hiro is a junior or senior while Kouichi is a freshie. Kouichi left school early because the others got him a full ride – the Tadashi Hamada Scholarship for underprivileged Japanese students or something)
Kouichi is an engineering or architecture major (fun fact: there’s a real life Kimura Kouichi who builds buildings)
Junpei is also going there, but he’ll be a sophomore
